This route utilizes all of the finest single-track that Montana de Oro has to offer. From strenuous climbs along Manzanita and East Boundary trails to tasty descents on Barracna and Ridge trails.

For such a short route, it is amazing how varied the trails are. Manzanita curves through heavy vegetation and trees while East Boundary which often resembles a ditch more so than a trail, climbs steeply on an open and exposed hill side. Additionally, you will find the Baraccna descent to be steep and loose while Ridge trail rolls through smooth, banking turns and fun water breaks. This is arguably some of the best riding in San Luis Obispo.

Parking: Parking is available directly across from Ridge Trail and throughout the park. As of 2005, there are no fees for parking.

Great ride with Kyle and Mina. Fun, fast, flow trails with amazing views.
Road at beginning was a surprise, and Meat grinder a B*%$. Ride was all in all very enjoyable, and quite beautiful
The final downhill has been changed. It starts and finishes in the same places however. It adds about another 2 miles of descending!
Final DH is different than posted route, but easy to follow. My GPS was confused as well at the beginning. You ride the road at the beginning.
The sculpting and maintenance of the singletrack trails is exquisite. Some areas of the Ridge Trail are closed for plant rehabilitation thereby lengthening the ride. The detours are obvious.
