Unlike most Aliso - Wood Canyon routes, this technical fun-run will have you begin at the neighborhood on the other side of the park. After a very brief road section through a residential area you'll be initiated to the dirt per a short but steep singletrack climb up towards the water tower where the Five Oaks descent begins. After the steep & technical descent down Five Oaks you'll use Coyote Run to get to Mathis Canyon where you'll encounter your main climb which is quite challenging. Rock-it, another technical descent, (although not quite as steep) will set you on course for the return journey back to the neighborhood.
Post Your Mountain Bike Ride -- 3 Ways to Post Your Activity --
01/15/13 Got out there late afternoon today for a solo ride. Saw a younger rider doing what looked like intervals on Mathis. 3 riders walking up RockIt in the rock garden as I was coming down. Also a couple of riders at the end with no helmets and one with headphones who got a bit surprised as I pedaled past him. My ringing my bell and saying on your left weren't loud enough apparently. Good talking to Dale back at the cars. Charged the garmin after Saturday's ride but it was dead when I went to turn it on.
