 | mtnbikej | 02/19/17 SS. There are days in which the outlook isn't good. However there are those days that turn out to be better than one could imagine. After Friday's storm of the century, I was a little worried that it would be wet, and maybe flooded. We drove through low clouds and fog up the 74, only to pop out in the sunshine at Pinyon Rd. We would be in the sun the rest of the day, surrounded by dark clouds. The trail could not have been in better shape. Everything before the Sand Wash was damp and tacky. Everything after was dry, but not slippery. Sand Wash was like a sidewalk...unbelievable. Water flowing in the creeks. No mechanicals, no flats. A few crashes. We got off course towards the end and did an extra credit climb. Amazing day on the bike. | |
