Noon started ride. Perfect weather and perfect riding dirt after recent rain.
Chilly at the top around 5:00 pm @ 45F.
I cleaned one of the rocky switchbacks when descending Motorway which was covered with baby head size rocks. There was more similar work left to do on the other switchbacks. It took me one extra hour to do this ride compared with 10 years ago but I still can do it. For this ride I made sure to eat plenty of real energy shedding food with excellent results for this 4000+ Ft of climbing ride.
Nice ride! Good temps even with full sun. I ran into TomG hiking 🥾 up Motorway!
Nice ride. Black Star was warm, Main Divide was nice.
Daytime started-Night time finished. Turned my lights on at the Doppler Ball. Cold at Main Divide. Good ride.
Early start 6:15 AM tried to beat the bugs but they got an early start too. Some knuckle head rode a motorcycle on Motorway and trashed it, please restore the barriers forest service.
Nice ride. I got an early start so not too many others out. TomG caught me just after Hagador Pk and slowed his pace so we could ride together. This was the first time I tried my bug net and it seems to help.
Nice ride. I got an early start and that helped with the heat. There was a Sportsmobile van show in Silverado Canyon, so I stopped to check it out.
It was nice to start early because it started getting warm. The bugs were out in force.
Manual post because I want to get on the established loop post and the I phone needs an initial manual post I think. This was my third time riding this loop it’ is tuff I did fine. A lot of motorcycle. I spotted two guys on KTMs I recognized from a dual sport event I did, we talked. Great day on the bike!
Fog, mud, rain got soaked to the bone but better than gong to work.
