This is a similar ride to my ride my phone died and lost my ride. A big ride for me just took my time and stoped multiple times to eat. Defiantly an accomplishment for me.
Slow ascent up Harding, muddy conditions made me feel like I was riding in quicksand. Still, first time to Santiago Peak via this route, and only second big ride since my back surgery so felt great to be out.
GOod conditions, warm near the bottom of harding as always but decent breeze. Legs felt great the whole way but hit a bit of an aerobic wall near Santiago peak....could feel some dizziness coming on which was alarming. Went away soon after starting the way back.
Nice ride with Clark and Kevin. They usually only ride road bikes, so it was fun to take them up on the dirt roads for a change. They did really well.
Great weather. After Santiago Peak, rode Buckthorn down, MD to Motorway, up Maple Springs, down Harding. 43.5 miles, 8222 ascending.
