A “no flow”ride. First time up Holy Jim and can’t say I enjoyed the climb too much. A bit too technical for me, so lots of HAB and almost impaled myself on the bike half way up. Also got stuck in the middle of the Old Goats 50 mile trail run. 36 min to Fire station, 2:43 to MD. Coming down was much more fun and less difficult than I had thought, but must have stopped 40 times to let runners pass. Needed a gas mask for the dust coming back on Trabuco creek road. Perhaps not the best use of a valuable CC training day, but lived to tell the tale.
Good to get out with a fun group of riders. Decided not to push it and came back down HJ instead of continuing on to Joplin with one group or Trabuco with the other group. Good seeing everyone today. Looking forward to the Memorial Day group ride at San Juan. Got a flat on the road heading back to the car.
rode up to cheer traverse racers on.great day.congrats to zungu, chris b. and evilbawb for making podium.good to see so many do well and reach goals.
A slightly painful ride w/ Ivan aka quickflip. Since I've barely been riding and he hadn't in 6 Months HJ was the obvious choice for two masochists. Thanks, Ivan!
Great day to get back on the saddle, first ride of 2011... GG Tweasol!
