Scouted the first half of the Traverse route today with cilantro13. Great day on the bike. We were rewarded for our efforts with perfect sunny blue skies on Main Divide. Ran into Boerseun and Fast Turtle at 4 Corners.
I used to hate Main Divide but I'm appreciating these grueling sections more and more with every ride. | |

Rode this route backwards...sure seems easier that way because I've done it twice the other direction. Its still no cupcake though. | |

Very cool all ride. The Main Divide is graded almost all the way across. Only a couple of sections still have ruts. Getting ready for the Traverse just about a month away. | |

Traverse recon. Trail in fairly good conditon with some loose sections at bottom of descents. Buddy went down but didnt get hurt. Definitely not for beginners. Bring good fitness, legs, and the right mindset as the climbs from the Motorway to 4 Corners can be relentless for the unprepared. | |
