Team Big Bear, Fall Classic - Oct. 8th, 2006
Click Preview (above) for a course walk-thru and Playback to view racers pre-run the course!

The course starts by Snow Summit and is comprised of one large counter-clockwise loop. Expect flowing alpine singletrack combined with some fire road that will spread the field before the first descent down PineKnot Trail and then eventually the aggresive technical downhill plummet back into town by way of the Mad Dog trail. Don't miss out on this unique race and it's historical course.

RACE DAY: Sunday October 8th, 2006

If you would like to pre-run the course and have a Garmin Edge 205 or 305 click on the NAVfile (left) to download directly to your Edge. The NAVfile allows you to follow the course while being prompted with turn-by-turn directions. If you don't have an Edge, also on the left (below) are printable course directions.

Late afternoon ride, the Flies were only bad when climing & no wind.
got lost a couple of times. Lost 3.5 min at start and another min on course.
First time on course. No GPS but written dirrections were good. Only missed one turn. Time includes 2 mile ride to trail head.
Lots of downed trees on all the ST. Still fun.
Great views but lots of fireroads

Missed a turn which ended up adding about 3 miles to it. Ran out of water. Went OTB. Fun ride though. I'll have to do it again now that I know where I missed a turn.

First ride on 2N10, Plantation Trial and Upper and Lower Fall Line. A good training ride - glad I didn't have to race it! :) Finished as it was getting dark. And pretty cool at 44 degrees!

Have to agree with Erik MM - a lot of fireroad. Still a great training ride, and what the heck ... anytime on the bike is good.
    Saturday ride at BB
Afternoon ride in BB. Great weather up here today
