Definitely a must do! Expect a challenging yet extremely scenic climb up the Romero fire road as it gradually narrows to a very pleasant singletrack. The ride down is indescribable but surprisingly technical as you near the creek at the bottom.

This is one of the best mountain bike trails in the area. It has great views, great climbs, great downhill, and...if you choose to partake... great technical sections. I loved the climb on the fire road and the single track that followed. When I began my descent on the Romero Canyon Downhill I couldn't believe how beautifully smooth it was. There are a few tight switchbacks right off the bat and then came the rocky sections I had heard so much about. I definitely had to hike-a-bike more than once. But it was an adventure! I loved the main water crossing over a sizable stream. Throwing my bike over my shoulders and balancing on the big rocks was pretty damn fun. The ONLY downside to today was that I did sorta-kinda face plant it into some poison oak. This is a popular trail with lots of hikers. When a large group startled me, I fell into a big red batch of the evil stuff. Time will tell how "awesome" my face gets. For the next few weeks, I may change my handle to "Bitchy&Itchy"...

Was supposed to rain today, but turned out to be a great day. This was a fun trail. I wish I had more time to do the longer loop. Nice technical descent.

Ride down is very technical. Go back down the fire road if you want a more pleasant ride.

Very technical and scenic ride. Had fun challenging myself.
