The Tijeras Creek route essentially sends you around the perimeter of the city of Rancho Santa Margarita while exposing you to varying scenery and trail types. The route parallels Tijeras Creek then sends you East into the hills that separate Rancho Santa Margarita and Coto De Caza. The final leg of the loop reenters you into the other end of Trabuco Arroyo Wilderness after a brief street stint through Rancho Santa Margarita.
