CommentsMTB Fiend -- Timed it all so perfectly. Excellent solo sunset sojourn adventure. Winds were picking up on Sierra Peak and temps dropped dramatically. Slow-rolled it back to Beeks and raced the waning light. Darted through the lower canyon in near darkness. Sure, I had a light in my pack, but where is the fun to that? Oh yeah, one other thing... tubes be gone. Concrete tubes at end of lower canyon have been removed. Hmmmm... I guess we all know what that means. I hear heavy equipment crushing forward. The sanitizing of Blackstar begins? Sigh... No critters, but the twilight descent was exhilirating enough. Great ride!
