Always hated Maple Spgs' paved road. Still do, but good to get out there despite the gate being open and lots of cars. 533153/176

Was going to do a different route, but wound up doing the same. 2 or 3 big group rides, including one with a rider on an e-bike talking on their cell phone...great...now all it takes to climb 1000 feet is a credit card, not sacrifice, discipline, etc...I have a feeling we're going to be having access issues. Glad I went for fitness reasons, but frankly it sucked and I felt like I was at Disneyland or something--the opposite of what mountain biking used to be to me. Hope this is the first and last time this happens, but I doubt it--I bet E-bikes are selling well.  Other Comments628144/181

Took it easy, wore the heart rate monitor and just tried to keep my breathing / heart rate under control. Felt pretty good. Slow leak in my rear tire but fixed it fine at the bench on top of Oak. Beautiful day. Cactus was crazy, hadn't ridden it in a while and the mustard made it tight in spots and my handlebars are old school--I think their length in MM starts with a 6... 630150/183

Nice ride with my nephew, who I got into riding 5 years ago and who has, I am proud to say, surpassed what skill I ever had on a bike. He's become truly a great rider. Unfortunately, I'm out of shape and this loop took me almost 2 hours to complete. But, I made it up the Grade, little Mustard and all the climbs without stopping. And it felt better for the most part than last time I rode it a few weeks ago.

Breaking in new pads, bled brakes. Wasn't sure till the last descent out of Mabury--finally, they worked amazingly perfect. Front was making a weird buzzing sound during the ride.

Hot out there. Didn't see another rider in Oaks, that's a first in a long time. Only hikers and equestrians. Actually did see a couple now that I think about it at the end of my ride on the way in, a father and son on the flats, but no one as far as I could see on any trails looking down from any of the ridges. It was definitely hot, but there was a breeze; it was a warm breeze, but it still helped. My effort at bleeding my own brakes didn't seem to inspire much confidence, so in the shop it went.

First time doing STT/Luge since March 2014...that is crazy, and a shame...can't get those 2+ years back. Felt pretty much like I thought I would, suffered on The Grade but made it up without stopping but couldn't muster little Mustard. Felt good going down the Luge but ran over a snake on the way down, just didn't see it till too late. Lost my rear brake 2/3 the way down, tried bleeding them myself once home but rusty at that too.

Got frustrated yesterday trying to get a ride in; had the bike on the car, so decided to save time and drive to the trail instead...wound up deciding to do something different, which was going to be Luge or Blackstar. Felt like I needed to ride 2K again--it had been longer than I can remember, so went for it. Took it real easy, used my Garmin and watched my heart rate, wound up achieving my slowest climb up Blackstar but it was nice to be out there again and I enjoyed taking it easy. Felt good to do a good climb again. Wasn't sure I would be able to, but glad I was. 1162144/178

1:30:40 Developed a sore throat and congestion, lost my voice and felt tired, but felt like I needed to get outside in the sun and burn off some stress. Glad I went out there. Suffered a bit due to the lack of riding, but did better than I expected and enjoyed it.

Little more than this but had difficulty uploading GPX. Little ride with wife and daughter then up Chutes, down Mtn Goat and out/back home. Climbing on the SS wasn't as bad as I thought, but I did have to walk sections--I'm too out of shape to be able to make it up on a SS. Nice to be out and see some familiar faces and hadn't been up (or down) Chutes in a while, so hadn't seen that part of the park in a while. I need to get back to doing that.

Ride with wife and daughter. Only worth 7 points, but I did happen to ride this on a SS so that almost doubles it... Need to get out riding more. Plus got Distant ride bonus since my last road ride was in NYC!

Quick spin. Dirt was tackier than Miley Cyrus, but didn't stick to my tires. Man I'm out of shape...cleaned the little tricky spot on Goat, but had to rest 4+ times on the way up...slowest time up in years... Originally was going to give Chutes a whirl but felt out of sorts at the top and some riders were sessioning the top of Chutes, so I opted for Cactus and back out. Need to get out there more and suffer back to fitness...

Little ride with my wife and daughter. Hit a lot more mud than I anticipated--had to clear out the bikes with sticks a couple times, unfortunately. I don't think the trails were closed, but I honestly didn't check. Great time though, my daughter cleaned a little downhill she was scared of from OTBing on a long time ago--great to see her get over that... Mostly great trail conditions except for a few unavoidable muddy areas.

In NYC for Work last week. Rented a bike and rode Hudson River Greenway North to George Washington Bridge, North to top of Manhattan, back down HRGW South to 91st street and then East to Central Park, around that...stopped to have a hot dog and soda, then back to Hudson River Greenway down through Battery Park, over to the foot of Brooklyn Bridge.

Ride with my 6 year old daughter to check out the Barnes and Noble "Maker" event, which was a bust, but lots of fun at 2 parks and "the secret slides" and she made the 10-11 mile ride on her own bike with no problem--pretty cool. Rode my SS hardtail, didn't think to take my road bike.
