This route packs two of the best fire road climbs & descents in the area with an easily accessible start and finish point at the bottom of Harding Truck Trail. Begin with a 9 plus mile climb up Harding Truck trail. Once you reach four corners you'll begin an undulating traverse to the Motorway singletrack descent. The bottom of Motorway conveniently sets you up for 9 and a half miles of climbing up Maple Springs fire road and onto Main Divide until the challenging Joplin descent. Good luck.
01/16/10 GT. Good long route today. Started early by myself thinking Rushak's group would catch me somewhere on Maple. Ended up waiting a while at four corners, but what a nice day to hang out up there. Saw One Flew OTB and his group puttin' in some miles. Had a blast descending Joplin and Luge.
01/20/07 Great day on the bike. Started with Mark, Ryan, John C and John (jcbikeski) doing Harding - Motorway. jcbikeski and I decided to do Joplin for extra credit. Met Shake Dust and his wife on MS.
