Try this route to quickly circle Crystal Cove Park using only fireroads. You will be offered some beautiful views of the entire park as you circle it from above. The route starts in Park Ridge, proceeds along Bommer road to Moro Ridge road, down the steep BFI road offering some stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. From there cycle past the Crystal Cove ranger station up No Dogs and No Name Ridge fireroads. Leave the park on the fireroad going past the new community of Pacific Ridge back to the start. DIRECTIONS: Take the 73 Toll Road and exit at Newport Coast Dr. Turn left at Ridge Park Rd., drive up the steep hill, and park at the end of the street.

emtimekeeper2404/18/10Great ride, the uphill is tough if you havent been for a while, my friend and i were so happy with our ride we stuck around to climb some of the connecting fireroads which were extreme downhills. all in all great day good fun. bring lots of energy bars and water it was a hot one today.
Mike.the.Spike12/05/09Never have I taught so many new riders and showed them so many new trails, it's really rewarding helping people get started in this sport. These folks are serious and grin ear-to-ear every ride we go on. It's nice to see people grow in their skills and enjoy the trails. Party of 4 today.
Fast Turtle10/16/09HOT! Went at lunch.
Fast Turtle10/16/09
Fast Turtle10/13/09The ground was soft due to the rain.
Fast Turtle10/06/09Did the fenceline single track at the top.
RollnStone05/08/09Decided to take Fenceline instead of the fire road. One OTB when I ran into another rider. We both stopped (almost) but since I was coming downhill, momentum sent me OTB. A few scrapes and a little blood, but no damage to either bike. The other guy was nice to help me up and offered me water to clean my face (which hit dirt first). Did you know you can shave using sandstone?
jnova03/16/09nice after work ride, el moro has a great sunset and fun trails, bfi is a nice warm up
jnova01/30/09nice day for a ride, great views ,nice sunset. not very many riders out

mountain coyote01/17/09Great ride with Neil, Chris and eric.
jnova01/15/09after work ride, nice views of San Clemente island and Catalina, clear and sunny perfect Ca day
Mike.the.Spike12/28/08Finally the rain is gone and it was beautiful riding today. FluffyCrash broke in her new Xmas 29er and loved it.
Red Ryder12/04/08On the downhill off Ridge Park, I was thinking how good it felt to have the wind in my hair (what hair I have left), just like it was in the days before helmets. Then it hit me, I forgot my helmet. So back to the van. My time includes this extra half mile to get my helmet.
jnova12/03/08reverse ride, up BFI, rode top single track(fence line, missing link)
trobe110/31/08Stopped to take in some of the views above PCH. Went over to El Moro right after my ride at Aliso.
Bruin10/27/08They have smoothed out the start of the ride (Ridge Park/Bommer Road) by removing the crevices and ruts.
SlowClimber10/11/08Great ride with Jerry - This really gets the heart pumping going clockwise. Weather and views couldn't be better - super day.
Erik MM08/06/08nice route...cheapo parking that was empty at 5 and full at 6...weird starting from the top. rode the 1 speed rigid...
Erik MM08/06/08Nice grind. One non-'fire roady' section, but oh well. Recent bulldozing has made it interesting. There is a dangerous turn at the end of the first asphalt section...careful.
Bruin07/24/08Cool and refreshing ride. Great ocean breeze. Encountered a baby rattlesnake on Bommer Ridge Road.
Bruin06/18/08Sizzling hot but ocean breeze and infinite views made for a great ride.
