|Great ride in the Thunder Mountain, Utah. The trail was muddy from rain the night before. Still a lot of traction though. ||1100|
|Timer started from the hotel. ||1100||122/166|
|Timer started from the hotel. Black diamond level trail. ||750|
|Walk (hike) with wife. The weather was perfect. It was overcast the entire time. I wanted to check how steep is the trail in order to ride it going downhill. We didn't climb up to the peak. It was too steep for her. The last climb before turning around was 45% grade. Besides very steep, it was all loose gravel. ||1140||108/120|
|Night ride. Fresno Canyon Trail is a very tough trail going uphill. When baling out I found a beautiful single track in Wardlow Canyon that was the reward of this ride. ||2421||128/169|
| ||Night ride. Felt super tonight. I am very, very happy with my new Giant Trance 29er. Excellent climber, very stable, superb suspension. It should be called Giant Cadillac. Now I can climb with ease what I was struggling before. My only complaint is that in the highest gear and pedaling as fast as I can my cruising speed is only 18 mph. I would happily install a second larger chain-ring. BTW. I had to post this ride manually because in the Garmin page there was not the usual "Looking for Devise" initial step. THE PAGE WAS THERE BUT DEAD. ||999||135/159|
| ||I started the timer from Santiago Canyon Road. ||1250||135/162|
|Short spin before work ridden on Friday at noon. This time I went exploring in Yorba Linda and Coal Canyon and found new pathways that, put together, made this new route possible. ||1065||131/156|
|Night ride. Ride done on Saturday but posted on Sunday. The GL program doesn't acknowledge my ride for the game. I have to request staff to do it manually. Thanks ||1816||134/167|
|Night ride. Today I broke-in my new Giant Trance 29er. Only good things I can say about this bike. I already have a 27.5 Trance that I have been riding every week for the last 4 years. My only complaint about the 27.5 is the pedals too low. Too close to the floor. Well, the 29er pedals are at least one inch higher which is super great. Now I have to get used to only one chain ring in the front. ||1120||134/160|
| ||Manual posting of a similar route I rode yesterday. (I forgot to stop my Garmin at the end of the ride and the devise also recorded my trip back home) ||1650||135/162|
|Night ride (again). Good temps in the night (of course - that is why I ride in the night). For this ride I took Scully Ridge Trail instead Aliso. The millage is just one mile difference but the climbing is 600 feet more through Scully. I am not creating a new route for just 600 feet. Btw; it was a good ride. ||2225||137/163|
|Night ride. Very warm when started. Somewhat fresh at the end. I was very happy and enjoyed my energy level today. Ashes from the Holy fire was falling like snow flakes during my ride.
|Night ride. ||1250||139/160|
| ||95F when started around 4:00 pm. When in Bommer Canyon I enjoyed very much the fresh ocean breeze. Due to the heat (I guess) practically no mountain bikers were out. Good ride though. This is a manual post done with my iPhone due to having NO INTERNET in my house today. First time posting with the phone. I still don't know if it is going to work. ||1890||133/166|
|Night ride. Started at 9:00 pm. Finished it at 1:40 am. Very dark night. Some Jeeps with ultra potent lights riding along the mid divider. Last time I rode this route was 7 years ago. My moving time back then was almost one hour less. It sucks to get old. ||2036||132/160|
| ||Night ride. Temps in the 70s. Coal Canyon Trail and Leonard Trail en excellent conditions. Had 2 flats during my return. ||2200||132/166|
|Night ride. Temps in the mid 70s. The main feature of this brand new route is the descent of 2 neighboring steep single tracks that go from top of ridge to the bottom official Anaheim Biking and Hiking Trail. By the way descending those in the night was very challenging. ||1251||141/167|
| ||Night ride. Had to do this posting manual because my Garmin turned off after 3 miles. For my comeback I rode for the first time El Cajon Trail (Alternative for Bastanchury)which is the correct route for a mountain bike.
Started at 9:30pm and finished at 3:00am. Temps in the low 60s. ||2211||131/150|
|Excellent temps when I rode (Late afternoon) While in the top ridge of Anaheim Hills Trail I went exploring many of the new trail people created and I found a super fun single track of about 1/2 mile long that goes all the way to the bottom trail. So I had to create this new route. It deserves it.
Around mile 11.2 I had to deal with a temporary fence placed in the middle of the trail leaving me about 18 inches of trail to ride on, with the fence on the left side and a 6 foot cliff on the right side. What I didn't know was that the fence was electrified and when my handlebar touched it the jolt of electricity made fall down to the bottom of the cliff. ||1161||134/162|
|75% Night ride. Good temps and decent energy level from me. ||2015||142/163|
|Very nice loop. I like it a lot. ||992||136/167|
|Excellent temperature during the entire ride, 62F. North Ridge trail has been debushed, nice. Btw. I found a new single track going from hill to hill in North Ridge, which I rode making the boring travel thru NR more interesting. ||2090||138/162|
|Night ride. Started pedaling at 4:00am just after work. One fall, nothing major but I hate falling.
