| ||Great event. We got lucky with the weather. Unlike my past two races, managed energy very well. Was able to finish strong. Arrived to the start a bit late. It worked good for me, as I tend to get sucked into fast starts, which i'm not good at.
Congrats to all who finished the race! |
| ||Great training ride in preparation for Firestone. Trails were in great condition. A few puddles on B.Star and Main Divide, but you could ride around them. Trail surface was smooth and tacky due to Friday's rain.
Motorway was in excellent shape, rocky as usual, but not very rutted. |
|1:46:00 || ||Started climb around 5:30 PM. A little warm at bottom of trail, but not too bad. 1hr 14m from gate to 4 corners. 32 min from 4 corners to gate. Not too many bugs, maybe Bullfrog repellent works after all! |
|1:35:00 || ||Fun evening ride. Perfect riding weather and not many riders on the trail. Luge is in great shape right now. |
|1:35:00 || ||Beautiful early evening for a ride! Finished right before sunset. First mtb ride in almost 3 months. |
|1:29:00 || ||First part of a longer training ride.I did this loop first and then the Whiting/Luge loop.
Downhill from Old Camp was slower than usual due to uphill traffic. Lots of riders today. Beautiful morning for a ride! |
|1:22:00 || ||Second loop of a longer training ride. I did Cook's to Old Camp and down the Luge first. Then, I topped off my water bottles and rode from Cook's to the equestrian center, loop through Whiting, up STT and down Luge. Great loop with different types of terrain and scenery. One of my favorite short rides. |
|45:00 || ||Fast uphill (30 m. Cook's to Flag). Slow downhill due to darkness. |
| ||Great training ride. Temps in the low 70s (late afternoon)and the trail in great shape. The Luge is as good as I have seen it, hard packed and fast! |
| ||Nice and scenic training ride. I hadn't been down the Motorway since early spring. It is pretty overgrown right now, but always a fun descent. |
