4:19:33 4:19:33GT. Rode with the Sunday crew. Got a puncture on Trabuco. Thanks Troy for the plug, those things are awesome! Had a close call in the first stream crossing after the fire station on the way out Trabuco Creek Rd. Was going full speed and tried to wheelie through the water when my bike slipped out from under me. Somehow I landed perfectly on my butt with legs in front of me and slid through like it was a water slide. Not a scratch or bruise.  Other Comments2492

Nice job John for banging out Trabuco Creek and Holy Jim after a month and a half off the bike. Mark and Scott took Horsethief down as planned, while Doug and I opted for Trabuco Trail. I felt much better on the downhill this week. Rib pain is finally subsiding.

 The Toad Festival made for some good times! The games were fun to play, root beer floats on Main Divide were awesome, El Pollo Loco for lunch tasted so good, and it was great hanging out with everyone at O'neill after the ride. The jokes were zinging from all directions too! Andrew pointed out my clone which was pretty crazy....and of course, everyone had to make their funnies about that. On the bright side, I won some cool Shimano XTR pedals and my clone didn't. Hah!

4:10:00 4:35:00 My second time up Holy Jim...Still quite a challenge. Ran into a huge swarm of flies in the wooded area just before reaching Main Divide; more flies than I've EVER seen. Ryan and I had to get the hell out of there fast. Main Divide has some great scenery and Trabuco was an awesome downhill trail.
